About us

Société Cachee is run by Johan and Kristian, two friends who are at least interested in wine and are tired of good natural wines being difficult to find for the average Swedish consumer. After many years of searching and with experience buying wine directly from Europe, we have found that it is both complicated and expensive to pick up wines via Systembolaget. Then the range we get in Sweden is not wide and exciting enough. So we wanted to find a way to easily curate wines for the average person who wants high-quality natural wines. That's why we search far and wide across Europe and try to find both everyday wines and rarities that are otherwise impossible to get hold of. And we try to make sure that as much good wine as possible ends up right outside your door!

5 quickies with Kristian

Who are you?

During the day I work in advertising and most of the rest of the time I'm involved with wine. I collect, write, research, curate boxes, give advice, talk about and drink as much wine as I can within reasonable limits. I also run naturalwinemerch.com which is my little hobby project with clothing for natural wine nerds.

Favorite area?

For me, Jura is hard to beat. The combination of the people, the grapes, the history and the wines makes me lean and dream about going there.

Best wine experience?

It's always connected to the people and the occasion in recent years is probably Domaine Labet - Bajocien at Le Troquet in Lyon, Matassa Blossom 2019 with my wife on a road trip in France and Houillon Overnoy Poulsard with the accompanying Yatzy match at Bar Ingrid

What is your wine philosophy?

Bang for the buck, often chasing excess value where style or quality beats price. Almost always hangs out with really good people, luckily

Which wine region would you like to learn more about?

A bit obsessed with the Rhone Valley at the moment and would like to delve more into the southern Rhone

1. Who are you?
A retired researcher who now runs a family business in advertising. I graduated as a sommelier in 2023 and have roots in the classic wine world, but the natural wine gravitation has taken hold of me as the quality and range have increased significantly in recent years.

2. Favorite area
Loire. Here you will find everything - fantastic wines and genuine people and places. A perfect pit stop if you are driving to Biarritz with a surfboard on the roof.

3. Best wine experience
A bike wine tasting in Mendoza a long, long time ago.

4. Wine philosophy
As long as the balance in the wine is there, I want a taste sensation.

5. Area you want to learn more about

Oregon - California's Piedmont. I think truffle wine and nature on steroids. Wines with character and elegance.
